Summary:
Performs a variety of duties ranging from operating golf course maintenance equipment, golf course maintenance tasks to semi-skilled grounds construction and maintenance.
Essential Functions:
1.
Performs course set-up duties to include setting tee markers and cups, moving ropes and signs, maintaining ball washers, tee boxes, brushes, sand/seed containers, and cleans flower beds.
2.
Operates tri-plex mowers on greens and around playing surfaces.
3.
Mows tees, collars, fairways and banks, operates push mowers, string trimmers, edgers and sand bunker rake.
4.
Water and fertilize greens and other turf surfaces and areas.
5.
Operate cultural equipment including aerators, turf sweeper, verti-cutters, and seeders.
6.
Performs basic preventative maintenance on equipment following instruction from GC Maintenance Mechanic or 2nd Assistant Golf Course Superintendent.
7.
Follow all State and Federal safety laws and regulations.
Follow all safety rules.

Pick up trash and debris on golf course.

Knowledge/Skills/Abilities:
Good verbal and interpersonal communication skills.
Basic mechanical and hand-eye coordination skills.
Knowledge of methods and materials used in golf course maintenance.
Familiarity with small golf course equipment.
SUPERVISOR RESPONSIBIITIES:
None WORKING CONDITIONS:
Constant outside exposure to wind, rain, cold and extreme heat and humidity.
Able to kneel, stoop, bend, push, pull, lift, carry and move objects weighing up to 75 pounds.
Able to stand for long periods of time.
The noise level in the environment is usually moderate.

Able to follow verbal and written instructions.
