VP of Purchasing
Summary:
Oversee and manage the Purchasing Department.
Responsible for bidding, negotiating and contracting for all direct construction trade partners.
Responsibilities Oversee and manage the Purchasing Department.
Assist Forward Planning and Land acquisition with feasibility by supplying cost information for studies.
Liaison to division to region and national purchasing efforts.
Coordinate with trades in even flow and trade adherence dashboard tools on Power BI.
Expert in preparation & management of direct construction budgets Supervise preparation, pricing and distribution of all community specification documents, look book and options.
Participate with other Operations team members in selecting qualified bidders from master trade partner list.
Monitor trade associate's performance and assist in efforts to ensure trade associates comply with contract requirements.
Resolve specification and plan conflicts.
Assist the Accounting department in researching and resolving budget and payment issues.
Maintain a positive and professional relationship with all potential and existing trade associates.
Recommend Truss company for new community plan submittals.
Coordinate Value Engineering meetings for new plans.
Assist in coordination of architect consultants and structural engineers.
Oversee the implementation of design during construction and sales.
Adhere and ensure compliance with regards to all training requirements.
Initiate and facilitate all recruiting process (interviewing, hiring and onboarding) for new associates.
Perform all other duties as assigned.
Qualifications Seven (7) to ten (10) years of residential construction experience in field operations, purchasing or construction management College degree in related field required Strong computer skills in Word and Excel Strong presentation skills and knowledgeable with Zoom, Microsoft Teams and various web/video tools Excellent written and verbal communication including public speaking skills Detail oriented High degree of construction knowledge Strong negotiating skills including trade partner negotiations and contracts Interact well with co-workers Understand and follow work rules and procedures Accept constructive criticism Team Player Excellent at managing budgets Physical Requirements:
This is primarily a sedentary office position with requires the ability to occasionally vend, stoop, reach, lift, move and carry office materials and supplies weighing 25 pounds or less.
Finger dexterity is required to operate a computer keyboard and calculator.
May be required to operate a motor vehicle.

The median base compensation for this position is estimated to be $143,800/annual, subject to adjustment based on business-related factors including employee qualifications, geographic location, and operational considerations.

This position may be eligible for performance-based bonuses as determined in the Company's sole discretion.

The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
