Media Planner/Buyer
National, full-service advertising agency is looking for an experiences and motivated Media Planner/Buyer to develop media plans and execute media buys for our clients and take our agency to the next level. This position is responsible for research and development of media plans in a cost-effective manner, identifying target audience and finding right media mix. Negotiates prices, reserves available space and time for advertising and promotions and monitors the media to ensure the ad run was done in the proper form and at the correct time and provide measurable result of the media.
Media Planning:
o Work with the Client Service, Digital and Strategy teams to develop strategic channel/media solutions
o Utilize media research tools and resources to aid in campaign development
o Update account and clients on new media opportunities. Provide an analysis and recommendation if the opportunity looks appropriate for a client (create extra revenue opportunity beyond what the client approved in the initial plan)
o Develop annual media plans and present with account management to client for approval
o Coordinates with the Director of Digital Marketing on media planning, ensuring offline and online campaigns are aligned.
Media Buying:
o Develop, manage and evaluate RFPs
o Finalize and present recommendations internally and to clients
o Implementation and Maintenance
o Knowledge of all aspects of campaign implementation
o Creative Spec data, trafficking, QA and campaign monitoring
o I.O. development and organization
o Budget tracking, invoice reconciliation/Bill-Pay process
o Manage cross-departmental/agency issues regarding any aspect of campaign execution
o Summarizes expenditures and delivery for each buy and provides summary to client through Account Executive for final approval.
o Negotiates and buys all types of media; magazines, newspapers, TV, radio, outdoor, Internet, direct mail. Knows agency rates by client & confirms orders.
o Provides a specific schedule for broadcast or printed ads, internet, etc. to Traffic and production management so that Production Manager can facilitate production of materials and Traffic manager can generate insertions and ship materials
Reporting:
o Provide data reporting at required time with required levels of detail and analysis
o Develop and present reports highlighting the relevant data insights and learning gained and recommendations for future campaigns
Additional Responsibilities:
o Attend relevant corporate training sessions
o Support positive working relationships within the agency and at the vendor level
o Establish trust and credibility with clients and vendors
o New business, POV and special research projects when required
o Other duties as assigned.
Requirements:
o Bachelor's degree from four-year college or university
o Must have 5+ years of agency experience
o Must have developed negotiation, tracking, and optimization skills
o Experience in tourism, real estate or food is a plus
o Ability to take initiative and to follow through
o Consistency and ability to follow policy and procedure
o Capable of setting and meeting deadlines
o Must be a true team player that is focused on the "we" results
o Strong proficiency in managing campaign budgets; time management/prioritization; and written and oral communication skills

The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
